Kabitirtha Institute of Development & Studies (KIDS) was founded on 20th November, 2003 by Md. Rizwan and his energetic as well as sincere associates, Mr. Maswood Ejaz, Md. Shahid, Mr. Aftab Nadeem, Mr. Nusrat Hossain Khan, Md. Khalid, Mrs. Wasima Parveen, Md. Naushad Ali and others. The dynamic team has been committed to work tirelessly with a mission for excellence in education amongst the students of vernacular schools mainly Bengali, Hindi and Urdu medium schools/High Madrasas. Adopting pragmatic approaches, the team consisted of dedicated members achieved numerous successes which have made KIDS a pioneer brand for uplifting the standard of education in quantity and quality education amongst thousands of students. Some of the achievements are precisely given below:
KIDS organised Educational Fests and Education Mela in 2004, 2005 and 2007. More than ten thousand students participated in different educational events like Debate, Sit & Draw, Dance Competition, Group Discussions, Paragraph Writing, Open to all Quizzes.
Gala events like Dramas and Mushairas were organised on different occasions.
KIDS conducted aptitude tests i.e. Students Evaluation and Aptitude Test (SEAT) in series which had participation of more than twelve thousand students from more than three hundred vernacular schools of Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, Paschim Burdwan (Ranigunje and Asansol).
Teachers' workshops were organised at Great Eastern Hotel, Kala Mandir, Bhasha Bhavan and at other venues which had participation of more than two thousand teachers of vernacular schools of six districts.
KIDS successfully ran career counselling project on regular basis to provide counselling for academic careers as well as professional opportunities.
KIDS organised numerous workshops on personality, motivation and communication skills.
Non-residential coaching was imparted to the underprivileged students studying in class V to Bachelor degrees.
100 days' Residential coaching for the week students appearing in class X final exams has been organised separately for boys and girls. Such coaching yielded extraordinary results.
In collaboration with reputed coaching institutes of Delhi coaching courses for UPSC aspirants were organised.
Coaching classes were organised for the aspirants of WBCS, Banking and other competitive exams.
